February 24, 2025 - JASA Director Karen Basett was sworn in as the 16th Director Of The Jesstopian Aviation Safety Administration early this morning and she will serve at the pleasure of the President. She issued the following statement:

"We are an agency that will get to the bottom of all aviation related accidents and ensure we push for policy that will benefit the safety of all air travelers and ensure domestic security while making the travel experience less stressful and allowing more people to travel on more airplanes nationwide.

We are committing to finding causes to crashes that have gone cold or are more than 5 years old, because the families of the victims deserve that at least. We look forward to working hard to improve air travel safety, and we are not done moving to completely modernize the aviation industry. Thank you President Laylin for the trust you put in me to lead this agency and thank you to the people of this country for the faith you have in me to lead this agency."
